Description

A "Dixie Dugan" Sunday from 1934 by John Striebel. I first heard of Dixie through the great biography of the silent-movie star, Louise Brooks, that came out in the late '80's. Dixie was modeled after Louise. I have a couple 1931 daily originals where Dixie still has that Brooks bob-cut and would love to find a Sunday where it's still like that. This one is a few years later and hairstyles had changed, but that face is still there. Plus this one is a lot of fun and is the best DD Sunday I've ever seen available.
