I like that he took the design right from the toy as it was back then with the shoulder rest and silencer attached!

Honestly, I don't know. I didn't request anyone to be in the scope and until just now I assumed the scope was just showing its glass cracked. Now I see the face. So, your guess is as good as mine.

I'd say Huffer. Kind of has his look. Intentional or not

I agree with you. It does look like Huffer. But I have no clue why he would choose him. I know Mr. Emberlin did some uncredited work on Transformers: Generation 2. But it wasn't like Huffer was involved in those stories. And I sure didn't make the suggestion.
It's an interesting mystery. I'll have to ask him about it at ECCC 2024 this year. I will be shocked if he recalls.
