DescriptionGrowing up, I enjoyed all comics. Superheroes were first but after that I enjoyed many of the Harvey-brand books. These included Casper, Spooky, Wendy, Stumbo, and of course Richie Rich. I'm guessing they were trying to nick a bit of the magic of Scrooge McDuck, where unbelievable wealth would lead to adventures. Of course, like most other kids, it would allow me to dream of what I would do with some of that money.Richie was first created in 1953 and over time became a hugely popular character along with his supporting cast. This is page 01 of a five-part story. I've tried to determine the artist on this story but had no luck. I found that several were known to have been regular illustrators so it could have been Warren Kremer, Ernie Colón, Sid Couchey, Dom Sileo, Ben Brown, Steve Muffatti, and Joe Dennett. Richie Rich was big in animation in 1980's pairing up with the Scooby Doo show on Saturday mornings on ABC! These comics were a lot of fun for daydreams, but quickly made you sad if you were a poor kid.
