Description

Proud to be the caretaker of this piece from Nestor Redondo, one of the true Filipino masters of the 1970s. It wasn't easy succeeding Bernie Wrightson after his legendary run in Swamp Thing but Redondo proved himself more than worthy.

Picked this up from a fellow CAF member 9 years ago. Thanks John!

Wow! Spectacular Swamp Thing cover! I love Nestor Redondo's work on Swamp Thing! He really does a fabulous job here. His Swamp Thing has a definately vegetative look, yet he's still strong and powerful. I love the contrast betwen Swamp Thing's naturalness and the unnatural, metallic robot dogs that are attacking him. Where they are sleek and metallic, he is clearly of the natural world. And in attacking him, those robot dogs have no idea what they're in for. Beautifully composed and stunningly inked, this is a fantastic Swamp Thing cover! Great pick-up, congrats!
