Description

A super-saturated graphic cover by EMSH for The Best of Fantasy and Science Fiction (Ace F-217, 1963). EMSH played a lot with big graphical shapes and unusual compositions. As a "best of" book, EMSH portrayed a montage of interesting characters for the cover. Aside from the wonderfully stylized astronaut, I particularly like the beautiful woman who is launching like a living rocket (following the flight plan of the other rockets).

So cool! It even has elements of the devils and angels amidst rockets and space travel to encompass all the ideas out of the fantasy realm. The colors are so bright that you can't help but to take a long look!
