Description

I originally purchased this 9x12" Commission piece from ComicLink as a birthday present for myself in April 2023. It was only a Head Sketch of Knull that Ryan had drawn at NYCC 2022.

Fast forward about 5 months to September, and I was prepping a few Hardcovers I wanted to get signed by Stegman & Slott at NYCC the following month. I e-mailed Mike Haslem, the ComicSketchArt Signature Coordinator, to inquire about having my 3 books signed. A couple months earlier, I had made a mock-up through Google Photos (see photo) and showed it to Mike and asked if he thought Ryan could finish it. I was not attending New York Comic-Con. That's where my friend Justin comes in. On Friday morning, Day 2 of the Con,he helped me get it to the CSA booth (it was $100 cheaper than doing mail-away). Mike even texted me to let me know it was done. Their communication with me is unparalleled. I still can't believe I got this done!

I'm thoroughly embarassed to say that Ryan definitely saw my mock-up, because he for sure added All-Black! I actually confirmed it yesterday with Skeff (we go to the same LCS). He said they had a ball laughing at my layout.

Mike Haslem & CSA were great to work with. They made the process so easy. I recommend them to everyone whenever I can. Man, I love all the connections and friendships I've made in this community. Thank you again Justin! You're the real hero.
