And while I don't have a whole month's worth of art to post now until then or during the actual Star Wars Month I've still got a few pieces left in the collection to upload. Excited for the end of Bad Batch season 3, Tales Of The Empire, and The Acolyte coming up on Disney Plus...bring on Star Wars season! From issue 33 of Greg Park's Darth Vader Run (which started in 2020, this issue released May 2023...the CAF archive only goes up to issue 19 in the database :-/), "Corruption of the Handmaiden". Sabé, now serving Lord Vader, whom she knew as Anakin Skywalker...meets up with the Dark Lord after crashing down on a planet due to a disturbance in the force that caused him to lose full control over his powers. I've been enjoying this Vader run for some time now and was happy to be able to add some artwork from it to my collection awhile back. I'll upload the other pages too but starting with this one! This series was trucking along, and then like the rest of the SW titles got derailed by the whole Dark Droids crossevent which completely fell flat for me. But this arc with Padme's former maidens was quite enjoyable.

Wow, this page really made me do a double take! I'm so used to seeing Vader in a setting with futuristic metal backdrops such as the walls in space stations or surrounded by the high tech parts of the cockpit of a tie-fighter or whatever other spacecraft he flies these days. Seeing him in a forest clearing, standing on grass is a mutherfuckin' trip! I love the brushy inks Gorham used on Vader, too, really nice.
