I participate in a podcast called Legion of Substitute Podcasters. On the show, I, along with a few other Legion of Super-Heroes fans, read through and talk about one Legion comic each episode. Last year we were talking about Chris Gardner's issues of Legionnaires, and it led me to looking him up online to see what he was doing�nowadays. As it turns out, Chris left comics and went into commercial work before going to work for Disney and then Universal Studios! I started talking to Chris on Twitter, and ended up buying some art from him! I remember buying Legionnaires #17 off of the comics rack at Waldenbooks back when I was a teenager. The Legion Zero Hour crossover books were pretty crazy, with so many characters appearing, and I didn't even know who all of them were at the time. I always liked this page with the Legion of Super-Villains appearing along with Satan Girl and Urthlo, and I was shocked to find out that Chris still had it! Anyway, I was actually able to pick up this page in person from Chris while I was in Orlando on vacation and I got to talk to him for about an hour about his time in comics and the rest of his art career. He's a super cool dude. Inks on this page are by Justine Mara Andersen, colors are by Tom McCraw, script by Mark Waid, and lettering by Pat Brosseau.

Outstanding show stopper of a team image! The lighting makes it more powerful than any regular sudden appearance!
