Description

Mark Brooks did the sketch in my book during Free Comic Book Day 2010 in Charlotte, North Carolina. I asked for this DC character because of my interest in the JSA and her membership in the JSA-related All-Star Squadron. I provided reference because Mark has worked almost exclusively on Marvel books and this is, as far as I know, the first time he has drawn the character. The drawing looks, at least to me, a bit like Ms. Marvel (Carol Danvers).

I think the collared blouse and the folds in the bigger sleeves are Brooks' subtle touches that keep her Liberty Belle.

I do not see Ms Marvel here. I ommediately saw Liberty Belle and the coolest thing is that Brooks' style is still recognizable even though it's a pretty rough, looser sketch.
