The use of colors could arguably be the best in the business. It really is mind blowing when you think about it. Huge congrats Rob, this is a real beauty!!

Yowza! What an unusual cover painting by Alex Ross! I'm so used to seeing Alex Ross paintings that look photorealistic, but this one is nothing like that! Here, the Sorceror Supreme is bathed in some kind of light that shades his face in a bluish tinge while beams of orange and yellow light fill the air. The effect is a painting that looks more surreal than I'm used to seeing from Ross. But I like it. It seems to say more about the mystic than the man. Anyway, I haven't read the book but I love the art. Outstanding pick-up, IMHO.
