DescriptionHarley & Ivy: Love On The Lam Pg. 45Painted Art by Joe Chiodo Written by Judd Winick Poison Ivy is caught mid-air by Batman in this dynamic piece painted in Acrylic on heavy board by Joe Chiodo from the one shot "Harvey & Ivy: Love On The Lam", released in 2001. The story was also re-published twice in the collected editions "Batman: Harley and Ivy" (2007) and "Harley Quinn: A Celebration of 25 Years" (2017). Also it is another of the many "falling" pages I've been able to collect over the years, but this time the character falling is caught by The Dark Knight! It is way too hot outside in the heat wave that's happening here on the east coast, so I'm staying indoors and enjoy a comic art day in general. Rare occurrence for me posting twice within the same day, but every once in awhile I'll get CRAZY! Social/Sharing |

I'm happy to hear you are enjoying a nice comic art day. We all need those occasionally. And this is such a beautifully painted piece! Really captures one's imagination. Congrats!

Chiodo knows what it takes to make you fly
But Ivy's there to make you smile
I don't have a Harley art
To get to you, I'd fall a thousand miles
I don't care if heat buys you Knight things
Does his paints come from the heart?
I don't know, but if it were my world
I'd paint Chiodo forever in the art
But my love is on the lam forgive
Without you I don't think I can bid
I wish I could give artwork to you
But love is on the lam you give

Chiodo's interior painted work of that time was a nice change from the usual production in that it was more cartoony. Nice one.

Nice colors and I love the vertical three panel design of the page. I've always been a fan of Chiodo's work going back to his Savage Sword days in the early 80's, so it's really fun to see this.

Awesome vertical panel-to-panel flow and the paints are exquisite! Yet another Chiodo piece that makes me want to go out and nab one myself. Congrats, man!

I am becoming a bigger fan of painted art. You get the artist's pencils and paints. And it feels more like museum art. Congrats.
