DescriptionBeen a fan of Templesmith since 30 Days of Night came out. I started picking up some of his art durring the 44 Flood days and into his solo kickstarters, 78 Squid and his patreon (which at one point was the best patreon I had ever subscribed to). That's where the honeymmon ends though.Like alot of artists he was always late and slow to respond....to the point of ghosting. So much time would lapse between communications he would forget all about the last communication, even if all he had to do was read the email chain. He even sold a cover we made a deal on via email. I about lost my shit when I saw the new owner show it on a live stream. I almost wrote the dick off...and then came Heroes. I finally got to go over issues face-to-face. He totally agreed he was a dick and an asshole and had terrible communication. After a few minutes we were able to come to a amicalbe agreement on a couple of his pieces he had on hand to satisfy both parties. I ended our encounter by letting him know I'd stop telling people he was a dick, but he was still an asshole. He didn't disagree. Templesmith is still in my ebay saved searches and this popped up on my radar the day after I got home from Heroes. I like poodles, and I got it for a song. Social/Sharing |

That's a great Templesmith story. You're on a roll now, Scott!

Yes, but what spoke to you about this poodle? Is it just the macabre look of it with the substitute limbs? Or is it it's sad face?

Glad the story ends well for you (despite all the stress that could have been avoided) and even better that Templesmith is one to recognize his faults and make up for them, which is rare in our hobby where flight is the most common reaction in such situations.

I never thought I would get this stressed out reading a description of a poodle cover

Ben has a heart of gold and is kind, generous, and humble. Happy to hear that it was discussed and cleared up instead of festering.
