DescriptionA couple days ago I posted a page from this issue where the two Spectacular Spider-Men (Peter and Miles) have just figured out that they have been trapped in a fantasy world (Stadium Arcadium) created by the villains Arcade and Mentallo. In this world, everything is rosy and romantic, which actually causes Peter to eventually snap out of it. He knows that his "Parker luck" would never support everything working out so well. For Miles, it's his clone Shift who shows up and lays out Miles' fantasy girlfriend Kamala, revealing that she is a robot. It's his attempt to show Miles (in the only way he knows how as he is rather non-verbal) what is really going on. Even Arcade and Mentallo can't figure out how Shift infiltrated the Arcadium. I have become a big fan of Shift. Maybe it's because he's kind of Miles' version of Rek-Rap. He's loveable and has a kind heart. Anyway, I had to have this page, so I grabbed it! Social/Sharing |

How did Shift know it wasn't true love?
A better question ... How did Miles not know she was a robot? They were in love and presumably intimate. That's one convincing robot!

I LOVE how Ramos draws Shift as this slow, lumbering beast, yet as we see in the brilliant 3rd panel, he can actually move lightnignt fast! Great special effect technique for showing speed. Great page!

Damn, Miles just wanted the same kind of love Wanda and Vision had. This page just went into another gear in panel 3.

Well, yup. Can see...some similiarties between Rek-Rap and Shift :) I like that transition from panel 2 to 3. Crazy detail on the costume then the shadowed bluriness of the strike! Good stuff, man. Congrats!
