DescriptionAnother stellar Esad Ribic cover from the concluding issue of one of my all time favorite comic arcs. The God Butcher arc is what got me back into comics, and I couldn't be happier to be the next caretaker of one of its most epic covers. An enormous thanks to Oly for allowing me to be the next caretaker of this fantastic piece. It will be displayed and adored for years to come. Published: August 14, 2013 Social/Sharing |

Key cover! The finale of the storyline and the death of Gorr (for now)! Ribic makes the cover epic using a unique color scheme with purple that suggest a return to regal glory for Thor and Asgard!

What a fantastic Thor cover by Esad Ribic! Gorgeous painting of the God of Thunder about to unleash a massive blow with not one, but TWO, mighty hammers! Esad's work on Thor has included some of the best Thor covers of all time! His art as a kind of mythic look, like something out of the classic storybooks! Esad doesn't seem as influenced by comic book artists as he is by classic illustrators like Howard Pyle! Love the color choices Esad made on this cover--The overall purple tone he used here reminds me of the fact that purple is tradionally the color of Royalty. And who is more Royal than Thor? Stunning pick-up, congrats!
