One of my favorite pieces that got away was a Drumond Death Quink. I was at the beach for the drop. My internet connection was slow. There was something funky on the website with the pounds to dollar conversion. I was devastated. I always keep an eye out for that piece if it ever comes up for sale again, but I passed on a number of Drumond's Quink Death pieces as they weren't exactly what I was looking for. I did pick up a killer Desire Quink and a painted Death because I love his work.

When I saw this one at Comic Art Live, I reached out to Annabel instantly. Is it as good as the first one I wanted all those years ago? Of course not. Is it splendid in its own way? You bet.
