Description

Excited to get my first Alex Ross! While not a painted piece, it is a published cover. Ross typically does a preliminary sketch before painting, and this is the prelim to the 75th Anniversary 1:75 variant painted cover. However, this sketch was so detailed and so amazing, they made it the rare 1:200 sketch variant (see image below)! Featuring the early Avengers and their greatest villains from the first couple years of the title, I had to get it as it features my favorite character, Captain America, front and center... a character so pivotal to the team, Ross included him twice!

Ink and graphite on 8.5" x 11" paper with an image area of 6" x 10". Signed by Ross along the lower right margin.
