Really nice that Palmer used wash instead of zip over the Buscema pencils giving the story more of an organic tone as the zombie rises from the soft swampy muck of a grave.

There are two pages of this first story (page 7 and 10) that feature a dark green background of the lettering boxes to exalt the narration. For example the page of the murdering of simon garth by the gardener. The original is drawn like this one but with an overlay made for the printing process. On the back of page there is a note of big John to Tom about 9th panel. He asks Tom to "make it spooky" putting attention on the open eye of the dead rising.
