DescriptionA striking page from Chris Bachalo's first mainstream comic book industry assignment, January 1990's Sandman #12 from the "Doll's House" story arc for DC Comics. He had already been hired as the regular artist for Shade, the Changing Man (with Peter Milligan writing), but that work would not begin hitting the market until July of 1990.Social/Sharing |

This dream is over.
Great page, and Dream laughing. Who'd have thought such a thing would happen.

Interesting how different this is from Bachalo's other works. No doubt, drawing style to create continuity with Keith's early Sandman art. Very nice pick up!

Agreed. I also think that Malcolm Jones forced some artisitic continuity through the inks.

Unreal example fromt he early in the run. Wow. Hard to top for a Morpheus or Bachalo example. Big congrats!

What a memorable, and good looking, example!
I think this is the only time he laughs in the whole series.

Both an awesome Sandman page and a killer piece of Bachalo's early work. Super cool inks too, that top right panel especially.

High level concepts matched with high level execution! Orgasmic for the most hardcore Sandman fans!

As a Bachalo collector - this is probably at the top of my want list of Chris' work. One hell of a page.

For me this is one of the most memorable Morpheus/Dream pages in the whole run and especially Gaiman's dialogue for him here is one of the definitive Sandman sequences. Huge congrats!

Good lord. What a run lately. Did the Ron spike your water or something?

The Ron is usually the one to pull me aside and tell me to calm down. It's safe to say that he has not done that recently...and it's also safe to say that I really need him to.

The most Dream panels on a single page I've ever seen!
