DescriptionDay 23. Thirty-one days of Star Wars (2025 edition).Chewie and R2 hunt for their friends, encountering a local Stenax. Meanwhile, Lando and Dani navigate the city's chaotic streets on this page from "Fool's Bounty". This page, like almost all of the vintage Star Wars pages I'll be posting this month, came via Heritage as they have been auctioning the Tom Palmer estate over the last year. The great Tom Palmer was a unifying Force (cap F intended!) on the original Marvel Star War series. Mr. Palmer's credits on the title encompassed 28 covers (including 3 painted covers - #81, #87, #100), interior penciler on 5 issues, and inker on 49 issues across the entirety of the 107 issue series. I think he also had some colorist credits. Palmer's runs with Walt Simonson and Ron Frenz are some of my favorites. This has been a once-in-this-collector's-lifetime opportunity, but I'd gladly send them all back if it meant we could have kept him around a little longer. This is the May! Social/Sharing |

If I recall correctly, "Bleep Hronk Bibble Ping" was the B-side of the smash hit "Eep Opp Ork Ah-Ah" by Jet Screamer.

That R2 panel is chef's kiss! Well said about Mr. Palmer, he's now one with the force and the force is with him. You got some great ones and it was a helluva year following the art from his estate through HA, and even if we all wish we got more than we did - they are now out there and will enjoy the circle of life/owners this hobby brings as temporary caretakers.
