DescriptionOver the moon to add another nostalgic 90's cover to my collection. The first comic I remember buying off the spinner rack as a kid was Iron Man #282, so War Machine has always been a special character to me. And this happens to be one of my absolute favorite covers from his original self-titled run.I'm still a bit in shock at how I acquired the cover. Jim Calafiore was at HeroesCon 2024, so I asked him if he still had any of his War Machine covers, specifically #14 with Locomotive Breath (which I had brought my copy I had bought in 1995 for him to sign). To my surprise, he said he thought it was the only one he still had and he would check. Low and behold and several months later, here it is. It really is a unique feeling adding such a nostalgic piece to the collection. Published: March 14, 1995 Social/Sharing |

It's so unique with these colors! It's non traditional which makes it stand out from the rest of the run.

Gotta love when the last piece the artist has is the one you want most. Such a rare sight to see a 90's Marvel cover done in colored pencil. Sweet get!

Major congrats my friend! I'm so glad I could hear about this in real time at Heroes Con and in awe that he not only had the cover after all these years, but how awesome it looks in full color.

Huge congrats, man! SO happy you were able to nab this nostalgic fave, and direct from the artist. And colored pencils?! Uniquely awesome. Dig that red lots on WM!

This is fantastic and total eye candy! I had the War Machine run and seeing this definitely brings back some nostalgia. The execution here is outstanding. The red glow on his armor might be my favorite, but overall it's just a beautiful cover. Big congrats Rob, great to see you get this.
