Description

Unframed pencil of woman posing is (Huge sheet 32" x 44") ! Yes that is the size of the artwork. Every line and hatching is carefully drawn out and I just love her pose.

The seller I purchased it from believed it she was known as "Glamour Girl". The art was originally purchased by long time collector in Jan 1993 from an art gallery representing Robert Blue in Westlake Village, CA at the time. It has never been framed or seen the light of day and was never been offered publicly since.

I am always buying Robert Blue. You can always make an offer on one of mine but I love to collect him!

If you are a TRUE Bettie Page fan you know who Blue is. He was the first of three artist (Dave Stevens and Olivia followed) to really focus on creating Bettie Page art here in Los Angeles. I am a HUGE fan. He is definitely one of my favorite artists ever. He mastered oils, acrylics, drawings and even fetish comics! If you have any Blue for sale please contact me. I purchased this several years ago from a long time collectors family. I will share more Blue soon. This one is not for sale. But I have others...

Blue sadly succumbed to brain cancer in January of 1998.

While sick at the time with brain cancer, Robert continued to create what incredible masterpieces he was able and I have posted a few special pieces for sale as well he created just before he died. a For those of you know Blue's work...Take note, his signature is spelled out for the world unlike most of his paintings in the 80s and 90s that show a simple scribble, maybe he realized he might be forgotten.
