Artist Robert D. Blue

"Gina" - Exact title unknown but model is believed to be named Gina and she is from San Luis Obispo area and I was told this was probably a commission. There is a series of her. I also have a beautiful Blue oil of the same model. Collector first purchased it at a gallery there. There are several pieces of art done using this model. I previously sold one to a CAF member. Maybe I can get him to post!

This unframed drawing which appears to be almost all created in orange red pencil or crayon is signed and dated in his last signature with the arrow facing upward 1997, just a few months before his passing. (He knew he had brain cancer). On a nice white art paper. The sheet is approx. 35.75" x 27." and the image is in Blue's created Margin about 2" around. He really knew how to draw hands and FEET!

These pieces are special to me as Robert sadly passed away less than just one year later. Blue succumbed to brain cancer in January of 1998.

While sick at the time with brain cancer, Robert continued to create what incredible masterpieces he was able. This is an example of one of his last paintings. For those of you know Blue's work...Take note, his signature is spelled out for the world unlike most of his paintings in the 80s and 90s that show a simple scribble, maybe he realized he might be forgotten. But a TRUE Bettie Page fan will never forget!

I am specifically looking for his fetish comic art as well. PLEASE! Especially Hustler Comix.
