Cub lookin' excited about the prospect of the prey being descended upon being sliced and diced :) Love the touch of lettering along the left, too. Powerful Pope stuff, man, congrats!

Might be one of his favorite subjects to work on! You can feel the strike is coming as swift and as strong as the wind. With the leaves falling in his wake.

Awesome, it feels like Ukiyo-e with the vertical composition and trees and leaves in the background. Pope builds depth by having the figures pop out in front of the title bar, and having the contrast of the dark background behind it the light bar. The title bar itself enhances the illusion of the figures falling. So much to appreciate here! He must have put a lot of thought and care into this. Congrats!

Wow amazing, not just one but 2 LW&C Pope pieces. They make a fantastic set. Did you get the silkscreen to go side by side with this?

Hey Matt, I didn't have one of the Nakatomi silkscreen prints yet, but now that I think about it...

I have the first LW&C one that is black, white and a red spot color. it was a NYComic con release. They do a great job worth picking up.

Terrific in every way as a tribute to Lone Wolf and Cub and as a piece of illustration.
