DescriptionHow absolutely and utterly cool is this???? I mean I’m not really sure what a Veve Digital Exclusive is … but I’m into a Variant for Uncanny X-men 134 celebrating the First Appearance of the Dark Phoenix by the absolutely incredibly talented Saowee! Jean Grey in full glorious Black Queen attire masterfully painted with a full on bird of fire in Saowee’s unmistakable Mangaish stye! Wonderful! Saowee caught my attention a couple years back when I got her in the caf mystery sketch lottery.. just slaying a Goblin Queen (check it out you will be happy) sketch. So I really wanted something published and painted by her… So when her rep (and my friend) Jiggy reached out about this it was a no brainer… the fact That Saowee mentioned to Jiggy he should see if I wanted this was just the icing on the cake! Thanks Jiggy and Saowee … you found this one the right home!Social/Sharing |

She's so friendly with the Phoenix Force! Redheads in black leather don't go out of style. A great cover to celebrate the Dark Phoenix saga as Jean was just one step away here!

Well I think you hit a home run on this one - is Veve the digital NFT of the comic? Sapwee has a bright future IMO and this is one of the best I've seen so far - great addition!

Gorgeous cover! Love this image of the Black Queen summoning the awesome power of the Phoenix. Look at those flames rising up around her--They seem to form the head of a Phoenix nuzzling against Jean's shoulder! Stunning work by Saowee! She has a cool style that works well with a character like Jean Grey. Her style is very approachable and fits in well with scenes like this one. Love her color choices here, the blue of her cape and the red of her hair pop nicely against the yellows and oranges of the Phoenix flames. Fantastic pick-up, Jason, congrats!
