Description

Born 100 years ago today, Harvey Kurtzman made the Comics Journal's 100 Greatest Comics of the 20th Century five times for his work on Mad, EC's war comics, Hey Look!, Goodman Beaver and The Jungle Book.

Here Little Annie Fanny meets Dr. Henry Kissingbug from an episode published in Playboy in November 1973.

These come from the estate of cartoonist Jack Ziegler who worked with Kurtzman at Esquire in the 70's.

Always great seeing these on the grid paper and how Kurtzman can use the pencil to create most of the look of the paints.
