Description

Rounding out my recent Spider-man related art is this ridiculously awesome page from the original What If... series, "What if Spider-man had rescued Gwen Stacy."

This book explores the potential avenue of Peter, Gwen, Harry and Norman if Spidey had saved Gwen from her passing in the issues of Amazing Spider-man 121 and 122.

I'm trying to knock back having Spider-man originals from the artists I grew up reading in the pages of Amazing Spider-man. An ASM Gil Kane is currently out of my budget but this page of Spidey and GG from the What If... series was not.

We've got Spidey in four of the five panels and Norman in his gobby costume (minus the mask). Great micro-battle in brownstone!

Very excited to add this piece to my collection. I hope everyone enjoys it!

A fantastic Gil Kane Spider-Man page from an alternate history story everyone wanted to see in a What If scenario! Smart thinking targeting something from a book such as this one versus ASM where prices have gone bonkers, really awesome example - congrats!

Such a great part of Marvel history playing out and being altered! With the original penciller of those two fateful issues in Gil Kane! Giacoia adds that heavy tone to give the scene that gravitas it deserves!
