Description23rd new artist add to the collection in '24!It being Native American Heritage month I wanted to post a couple pieces featuring my peeps in our world of comic OA. This was a commission I got from Ibrahim Moustafa (NICE dude) at Rose City Comic Con in September – Jake Gomez (JG), Werewolf by Night, full bleed! Ibrahim had a couple great color pieces on hand that had 2-3 images but all tied to a central character. I’ve wanted to get a commission of JG similarly featuring his human and wolf forms in one piece so immediately thought of it when I decided to commission Ibrahim and he was psyched out about. He was going to draw the 2020 miniseries but got another assignment, so he was particularly excited to draw this character here. Shows in the result, I’d say. Love all the gradient of color. Got a chill JG up front (he rocks them braids) with his werewolf form behind him, eyes yellow, teeth bared. Ibrahim asked me what kind of werewolf I’d like…more a wolfman, more a large size wolf, etc…I told him whatever he wanted to do. And he went with my fave version, which is more humanoid but with elongated limbs and transitioning wolf face features. He said he took a little inspiration from an American Werewolf in London. See those ears :) Social/Sharing |

Arooooo
Ibrahim Moustafa
You hoped it would come true
That one day your transforming
Wolf come rescues you
You like the comic stories
You will never regret
The paint you felt with rosy wolf in gradients
Ibrahim that you've been waiting
You would have to braid some more
Lycan love your Gomez
I would Jake you my world
Choose heavenly wolf if you were artwork
I will give you my art
Be all fangs you need
Show you your scary things indigenous to read
If you give me a chance
Lycan love wolf like that

cool piece!! I really enjoy Ibrahim's work. I picked up a Kill Bill (Tarantino movies) themed piece by him a few years ago.

That is a beast of a piece! Love this design. It's almost like Jake is on a path, and that path leads to the monster.

Love it when an artist has their own style and leans into it!

Another museum-worthy piece in my humble opinion. And another wonderful piece to celebrate Native American Heritage Month. Really love this one too. Major congrats on these two beautiful additions to your collection.

Thanks, Paul, for the kudos on both recent adds! Was overjoyed with how both turned out and it appears others can also see why :)
