DescriptionThe title splash from part one of the two-part 'Operation Frame-Up' storyline that began in Phantom Stranger #35 and featured the Black Orchid. Sheldon Mayer scripted the story. Mr. Redondo's art is so delightful to see in person - the effort he put into his work is evident in every line.Social/Sharing |

50 years have passed and more and more despicable crimes are being committed with computers. Gorgeous page!

You can see why Carmine and Joe recruited these guys back in the early 70's. Wow!

For sure - and I hope they gave as good as they got with Redondo. Given the industry's history, I doubt it...but one can always hope!

Redondo was amazing! Truly an artist worthy of an artist edition format book. Congratulations on this beautiful splash!

Overshadowed by his predecessor on Swamp Thing, but his run on that title was equally brilliant. All fans need to do is study his work on Rima and here on Black Orchid to see that.

Really lovely piece, Chris. The image is great, but the lettering below is equally artistic.

Nestor Redondo was one of comics' greatest draftsmen... this is a really beautiful example from the master!

The rare sight of Black Orchid is a treat by Redondo! Her mysterious way of appearing out of nowhere is captured with the sweet lyrical 70's Redondo art that feel more attuned to the times than others at DC.

Welcome to the very small club of Redondo BO splash page owners. I wonder who has the third?
I remember coveting this years ago... I think Steve Morger had it.
Anyway, it's a beautiful thing!
