DescriptionThis has been NEARLY 20 years in the making. I’ve been a big fan of the Brubaker/Epting run on Captain America and have long sought a cover. They are both scarce and in general expensive if featuring Cap but I just won this beauty for a reasonable price. Always doubly satisfying especially considering the price of things these days. Mike Perkins did the interiors on this issue but Epting did the cover. Very very happy to cross this one off my want list!Social/Sharing |

Sweet! Epting is a true one. A Cap piece from this awesome run is on my list too. It was the first Cap book I read monthly. Congrats!

So many collectors use terrible metrics to evaluate art. In the case of this cover, I guarantee you the reason it went so affordably is because a ton of fans thought "Yeah, it's almost a full figure of Cap, but it's not really him, it's an image of him on a poster.". Ridiculous, but their loss is your gain, congrats!

I love it even more. The story the cover tells to me (and most times covers tell no story at all and are just pin ups really) is that Cap is such an intimidating force to villains, they can't even hit him on a poster right in front of them!
