DescriptionI'm generally too much of a control freak to go the route of Artist's Choice on a commission. But, in looking at Ian's work on the Felix Comic Art website, it was always Ian's Artist's Choice commissions that really jumped out at me. So, I took the leap.Thank goodness I did! I knew I wanted wall power from Mr. Bertram, but Ian delivered an artistic explosion in a 19 x 24 piece. When he unveiled the commission at this most recent SDCC, I was genuinely speechless - I'm no artist, but the amount of effort put into the piece was extremely clear. The more I visually dug into it, the more I saw. It was extraordinary. When I finally caught my breath I asked Ian - 'What happened?' His response? 'I just kind of got going and couldn't stop.' He most certainly did not stop - and I am super grateful for that. Thank you, Ian! Social/Sharing |

Oh man, you give him free reign and he went ALL out! So much intricately sublime work in this one, Chris...I'm jealous I can't see it in person :) Huge congrats on how well this turned out!

Like a man obsessed! I think even the fine art types can appreciate the unique level of effort and vision Ian Bertram brings. In person, this has to be studied like a road map up close after taking in the impact of the whole.
