Description

Fantastic opening page for the Devastator origins story from the epic Dark Nights Metal storyline, featuring a closeup of an imprisoned Superman! Opening monologue by the Devastator (or Earth -1 Batman) as he laments his faith in Superman before being betrayed by the Man of Steel when he goes on a murdering rampage. Very reminiscent of the Injustice version of Superman turned evil, though this Batman never fully understands what changed him. He ultimately resorts to extreme measures to stop him, becoming the super villain known as the Devastator while condemning the world in the process! The story is appropriately titled “Symphony of Destruction” and published in comic and TPB (Dark Nights Metal: Dark Knights Rising, 2018). Beautifully illustrated by Tony Daniell with Danny Miki providing inks on standard 11x17” DC illustration board and in excellent condition.
