DescriptionFortunino Matania. Not a comic book artist, but a favourite of such as Al Williamson, and an influence. This one is from The Sphere: King George at the Guildhall, after the Thanksgiving service at St. Paul's Cathedral, June 29th 1911.Many others are fans of his biblical/historical images. While I like these (of course), there's something about his illustrations of contemporary events that I particularly like. I'd bet if a photo had been taken, the likenesses of the background characters would be spot on. Social/Sharing |

If that isn't a masterpiece, I'm not sure what is. I hope he got paid by the figure.
