DescriptionUnsure of the exact story or issue this page was a part of. Seems to have been a page within the Redondo Komix title published from CRAF Publications around 1963. The great Nestor Redondo was a part of the Filipino artists who created the label after the bankruptcy of Ace Publishing. This piece from Redondo showcases his legendary inking ability. It brings such an elegant feel to this page portraying a heroic rescue during the Japanese occupation of the islands during World War II. Our wounded hero Pedring carries the japanese girl Sakura to safety. Great facial expressions throughout the piece. Really enjoy the pattern on Sakura's kimono. So much to like about this page. Thanks to Steve Morger for making it available during Comic Art Live Fall 2023. Social/Sharing |

Such sensual story telling. Beautiful inks and you can feel the emotion. Those legs are amazing, and her outfit is gorgeous. Mr. Redondo was a true artist.

The romance rings true with Redondo's lush inking. There is such softness in between them, so that you can feel their chemistry.

That's some lush inking on display there (especially with the hair). Congrats on the pickup!
