Description

Matt did this inspired Grendel sequential illustration at OAX 2025 after I shared with him the Spider-Man sequential that Manix Abrera did for me a couple years ago. I'd given Jim Warden (Matt's rep) a Manix shirt and Matt asked about Manix, which started me on a long diatribe about how amazing Manix is. I showed Matt the Spider-Man.

Then the next day Matt said, "hey Josh, check this out" and he was working on this sequential piece!

Of course I asked him if he would offer me first right of refusal once he finished it. How could I say no?

I really am grateful to Matt & Jim, and of course Manix, for making this piece a reality. I was just there to witness it all and I feel like maybe I was seeing history unfold. Is that too grandiose? I think not.

A very cool companion piece to keep your Manix Spidey company during these long, cold winter nights. I dare say you were probably Wagner's best customer at OAX!
