Description

Another pick up from MegaCon where I was finally able to meet Kerry Gammill and add some of his art to my collection! Still feeling the effects of con crud today, but staring at this pages does make me feel better. Have to admit I was on the fence about this page until Kerry revealed that it was the only page he brought along that had Superman on it! This page comes from the 1994 One Shot book, "Superman Under a Yellow Sun, A Novel By Clark Kent." Big thanks to Kerry and the 4C Comics guys, Ken Carson and Jeff Dunn!

Back in 2000, Kerry told me he barely had any of his art left. Funny how a full quarter of a century later, he still continues to have a few of those remaining gems in his possession!

Actually, Ruben, Kerry indicated to me that these pages represent the LAST of the pages he is willing to part with. He hinted that he still has a few pages left for himself, but these are the last he is willing to sell. Ken Carson at 4C Comics does have more pages and prelims, so you may want to contact him if you are interested.

Thanks, Steve, but no, I'm not looking. I just thought it was a funny observation to make because your post reminded me of when I reached out to him 25 years ago, looking for art, and he said he barely had any left. So you'd think if that had been accurate, he'd have run out completely a long time ago! 😆

Just like with the Spidey page, Gammill draws the big city with a lot of personality where there's always action and drama playing out constantly.

Great piece, I have always loved Kerry's work on Superman. I love that left panel with Supes dropping down
