DescriptionI just (finally) finished posting my complete interiors to Amazing Spider-Man #36, where Rek-Rap and Spidey team up to first fight Doctor Octoball (from the Insidious Six) and then Re-Po (The Repossessor monster from Limbo). Now I have a few more pages to post from issue #37 before I get to issue #38. Re-Po has been tasked by Madelyne Pryor (the new Goblin Queen) to gather up and eat all the demons who escaped Limbo back in Amazing Spider-Man #17 & 18. These include all six members of the Insidious Six and also Rek-Rap. Towards the end of issue #36, he does manage to eat Doctor Octoball, but (thanks to Spidey's help) fails in his attempt to eat Rek-Rap. Spidey's interference does NOT sit well with Re-Po. On this two page sequence that opens issue #37, Re-Po is in his human form (as Gus), musing about how Peter "owes" him. At that moment, Randy Robertson comes knocking, looking for Peter. Re-Po murmurs "Collateral," and then assumes his monster form to attack Randy. Unfortunately, things are only going to get worse for Randy, but we have to wait until issue #38 to find out how that all plays out. Social/Sharing |

I was gonna double check the name before I posted the piece, just to make sure, but then I got distracted. But something was nagging at me ever since, and your comment helped me know what it was 😊

I think it has something to do with the relationship between pressure and volume of a confined gas. No wait, that's Boyle's Law. Though I imagine Wilson Fisk suffers from occasional gas. But seriously, Fisk's Law was a law he implemented while he was mayor that was designed to target vigilante superheros such as Daredevil, the Punisher and even Spider-Man.

It looks like Japanese manga horror or something from Spirited Away with the demon in disguise design McGuinness chose for Re-Po.

These pages are bringing some serious chaos! Re-Po out here turning from chill Gus to full on nightmare fuel in an instant? Poor Randy never saw it coming. Love how the tension builds up, and that ‘Collateral’ line? Cold as ice! Not unlike the majestic Vanilla Ice when he dropped the "Wordsof wisdom. Drop that zero and get with the hero." line.
Okay, okay, I admit that line was cheesy as fuck! But hey, he made a good life for himself investing the money from one song into a small, real estate empire in Florida and now gets to play that song every New Years eve at Mar-a-Lago! Everyone's dream come true, right? Uh...right? Bueller?
