DescriptionHe's baaaaaack!REK-RAP PRESENTS A REK-RAPSCALLION PRODUCTION OF: REK-RAP STORY TIME ADVENTURE! STARRING ... ME! A little recap ... In the previous issue of Amazing Spider-Man (#36), during a battle with Insidious Six member Doctor Octoball, Spidey and Rek-Rap came face to face with a bizarre and creepy new monster from Limbo calling himself the Repossessor, who promptly ate Doctor Octoball. Apparently the official task of the Repossessor (or Re-Po for short) is to gather up (and dispose of) the members of the Insidious Six who escaped Limbo a while back. Unfortunately, Re-Po is also after Rek-Rap, but with Spidey's help, Re-Po was defeated ... for the moment. In issue #37 we get the back story of how Rek-Rap came to know of the Repossessor through his detective work and various misadventures, like battling Kraken the Hunter (also from the Insidous Six). The fun part is that we get to hear the story through Rek-Rap's eyes and flamboyant narration. Rek-Rap was lovingly created by the great Ed McGuinness, and his artwork on this three-issue Rek-Rap story arc is FANTASTIC! Special kudos to super talented inker Mark Farmer as well. Rek-Rap is back like he never left leaving a big impression through McGuiness' big and bold art! This has so much of the ASM #15 parallels as Spidey was captured on that cover by Kraven's net. In Rek-Rap fashion, he has his own inset panel to make this look even more Spidey Super Stories fun!

Wow, I didn't even make that connection with ASM #15! Great observation! And yeah, I love that Rek-Rap inset panel. He's tellin' his story in pure Rek-Rap style!

Another instant classic Rek-Rap splash, with a Silver Age style perspective lovingly delineated by McGuinness and Farmer. Release the Kraken!

Ed McGuinness' work is a great reminder there isn't enough muscle in today's superhero comics. Keep up the Rek-Rap pickups!
