In celebration of my 58th birthday today, I wanted to share some recent art pick-ups from the NJ Art Con over a week ago! A Travis Charest Supergirl con sketch! Thank you to Peter for the great deal! This one means more to me because I was waiting in line with my longtime friend Peter in 2006 at the NY National Convention at the old Penn Plaza when Travis drew this for him. So, this holds a lot of fond memories of my early con days, waiting in long lines with friends for sketches!

Very nice how Travis stylized the S for Supergirl. Very low mainstream output of Travis art during these years as well. Very cool to get a piece he clearly took some time on.

lovely convention sketch by Charest, and an even better story/meaning behind the piece to remind you of good times! hard to beat that combo
