Description

Original artwork, watercolor on board, for at least one edition of the British hardback annual 'Our Girl's Brightest' most likely first published in the 1930s.

Dating these pieces is a little difficult because they often appeared in different editions of the same annual as well as in annuals with different titles, but none of the annuals were published with dates!

Nice title and art. The 'awkward moment' in the title is perhaps a little less unsettling than a modern reader might hope for and involves the young protagonist being accused of stealing a posh lady's cigarette case.
