Description

Fresh after my last commission, client Damon sent me his 128th, also the pencils of Luke McDonnell to ink, my 7th. It was of the promoted but never fulfilled series The Allies from Image in the mid-1990s by Alan Moore & Rob Liefeld. The promo poster art is attached. The characters are Glory, Thor the Thunder God, Fighting American, Diehard and Supreme fighting a villain I don't know, and I've not inked any of them before. The page composition is based/homaged after a page published by Marvel but I cannot find the reference that Damon sent me for that but if I find it I'll post it. Lots of costume deviations from the source material (which was also inconsistent) made this page a labor in that respect but it's sometimes part of the job.
