Description

I always believed that Jonah Hex was influenced by those late 60s and early 70s westerns that featured Clint Eastwood as the anti hero. Films such as hang'em High and The Outlaw Josey Wales. So I asked James to recreate a cover that always impressed me.

The mirror shot is great as it challenges your perception putting yourself behind point of view. Even though you would never show up in the mirror. Martin's realism makes it even more unnerving as his art is so technically sound.

Because of the mirror, I kept getting confused about whether the damage to Jonah's face was on the correct side.

James told me he really enjoyed creating this as it was so different from what he normally does.
