DescriptionA Classic James Bond 007 by Charlie Adlard (the Walking Dead)Charlie’s first issue of the Walking dead came out April of 2004, so this is actually from right around that time. A beautiful rendering of the Classic Sean Connery version of the character surrounded by “Bond Girls” The swirling patters contain many shapes influenced by playing cards (hearts, spades, etc) so perhaps this was a Casino Royal piece. 9x12 pencils and inks on bristol. A love of James Bond was pervasive in my childhood home. My dad loved the films, and my mom handed down the novels to me. My father even wrote a spy novel in his retirement due to his love of the genre. Social/Sharing |
