DescriptionCurtain Design for The Love For Three Oranges (1981)12" x 21" Pencil Best known for his childrens books , like Where the Wild Things Are, Maurice Sendak also designed for operas. This is a curtain design (Act 3, Scene 2) for the opera The Love For Three Oranges by Sergei Prokofiev; produced by the Glyndebourne Opera, Sussex, England in 1982. I love the whimsy of this piece ... reminds of playing Joust back in the early 80's. Social/Sharing |

Very nice, a great artist for sure. Yep I remember playing Joust, I got pretty good at it too. Remember Defender and Stargate?
