here is where the book steps up a notch.
i had tried to meet Brent a few years prior but Farel Dalrymple was squatting in his spot at sdcc and wasn't him. i love Farel though and that was the first time i met him so no complaints.
but i still needed to meet Brent.
wondercon was my chance!
i remember talking to him for a long time about my idea for this book and the fact he'd been to nicaragua (my home country) and just enjoying every moment i spent with him.
he did this sketch and i absolutely love it!
i had just bought my mike mignola page and the reason i had picked that one was b/c of an octopus.
i really think this one stands out as just one of the best sketches in my collection period. not just this book
