DescriptionChris Bachalo and Malcolm Jones III Sandman #12 Story Page 23 Original Art (DC, 1989). This is the stuff that Dreams are made of! Morpheus (aka "Dream") is displayed throughout the page as he speaks with Lyta Hall (Hippolyta), who is with child, in dreams. This page is from one of the key stories that formed the story arc, "The Doll's House". It was such a popular story that it was adapted for the Netflix Sandman series. This tale was one of the many in this story arc that grounded the series firmly in the DC Universe, which ties Hippolyta "Lyta" Trevor-Hall to Wonder Woman, the team of Infinity Inc., and her marriage to Hector Hall, who is the son of Carter Hall and Shiera Hall, the Golden Age heroes known as Hawkman and Hawkgirl. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 9" x 14.5". Dream's text was created with negative stat paste-ups. UV glass-front framed to 15.25" x 21.25".Social/Sharing |

congrats on landing this brilliant Bachalo Sandman page from one of the key earlier storylines. it's a great example from the series.

Great images of Morpheus! This early Bachalo style is unique for him. Jones III punches it up to make it full of foreboding and dread!

Magnificient page... and a key moment of the whole series where The Sandman ultimately seals his fate, even though, at this very moment, Lyta's threats sound rather hollow...Great pick!
