DescriptionAfter being powerless for a while, Loki successfully tempts Storm to take up the hammer and regain her powers as STORM.There's a reason the art of my childhood calls to me much more than today's stuff. And this page is a perfect example why. Power! Radiance! Beauty! Magnificent! WAHBOOM BADA BOOM! Social/Sharing |

This is why we collect art- pieces like this are nostalgic for everyone who was reading books at that time.

There she was just Asgardian the street, singin'
'Do Wah Loki Loki Boom Bada Boom
Snappin' her hammer and so magnifique, singin'
'Do Wah Loki Loki Boom Bada Boom
She looked good (Looked good)
She looked fine (Looked fine)
She looked good, she looked fine
Art I nearly lost my mind
Before I blew wind she was Adams fantasy, bringin'
'Do Wah Loki Loki Boom Bada Boom
Hold in my hand, just a natural mutant gene, singin'
'Do Wah Loki Loki Boom Bada Boom
He walked off (Walked on)
With my Storm (My Storm)
He walked off with my Strom
Then we missed the Marvel Thor
Whoa-oh, I knew Fisch was falling in love
Yes, I did
And Joe has sold him all the inks
He’s been dealin' off

Loki is a liar. She was not Hammer-Storm for long, never mind forever. Awesome page.

Wow, iconic, memorable, gorgeous piece of art. One of my favorite characters, from a favorite '80s story--this ticks all the boxes. The inking of the lightning effects has such a strong Simonson vibe--I wondered if he maybe had something to do with the page; but maybe more likely it's Art or Rubinstein paying him homage. Truly awesome page--congrats!

Even just landing a page from the epic Asgardian Wars saga is hard enough. But Asgardian Storm's birth page? Are you freaking kidding me right now? Epic congrats for an epic acquisition!

Just stunning, and I agree very "Simonson-ean". Fantastic example of early (and in my mind peak) Adams

The Asgardian Wars was for me one of the best sagas of all time. A marvel of its time, and you go and bring us a mythical splash with Asgardian Storm. A thousand congratulations

Increible page. Among the best in the book for sure. Congrats! Rubenstein is cited in no credits. What's the story there?

The back of the page is signed Adams/Rubinstein.
And, when asked a couple days ago, Adams quickly replied that Rubinstein inked it.
No idea why he isn't credited.

A select few -- if even that -- in Marvel history can pull off a WAHBOOM BADA BOOM. Adams Storm-turned-Thor is one.

WAHBOOM BADA BOOM! What better way to describe this gorgeous page by the always amazing Art Adams? This is a jaw-dropping page that is thrilling just to look at. Everything about this page is breathtaking, from the first panel of Storm grasping the mystical hammer Mjolnir, to her face in the second panel as she realizes that the power of Mjolnir is restoring her mutant abilities to the final glorious panel of her lifting the hammer to the skies, reclaiming her power as Storm! This has to be the best page in the book, a stunning example of Art Adam's undeniable talent as a comic arttst. Phenomenal pick-up, congrats!
