DescriptionFrom the issue cover dated November 1993. Part of the “Fatal Attractions” crossover. After the X-Men and Excalibur confront the Acolytes and their newest member, the traitorous Colossus, they stop for a nice group photo. At least that’s how I interpret this pin-up that appears at the end of the issue. In all seriousness though, it’s a great group shot of Marvel’s merry mutants, and they’re smiling! Pencils by Darick Robertson and inks by Agop Gemdjian, who went on to a career in the fine arts world. Social/Sharing |

Joey Heatherton!
If Joey Heatherton were to play Meggan, then Ann-Margret could play Jean. Sparks would fly!

Great selfie pinup character splash, missing poor confused Colossus.

Groovy group shot that is reminiscent of Bwa-Ha-Ha shenanigans!

Picture perfect, you don't need Excalibur
Gorgeous, make 'em drop dead, you Professor
Shower you with Agop Gemdjian
Yeah, these are my only Robertsons
Stay in the kitchen pinnin' up, got your mutants
Art full of equity, you're a splash hit
Make sure that you don't need no mentions
Yeah, these are my smiley new Mutants

I see this as more of an X-Men team shot than an Excalibur team shot, but either way, this pieces make us both happy and that's all that matters, right? It's always cool seeing work from early in an artist's career, too. I have to say, Nightcrawler is my favourite part of this scene. I think it's that devilish, mischivious grin. Congrats, Michael, really great piece!
