Description

Announcing my new themed gallery – Heroes with an eye-patch! Taking suggestions on what hero should be next! … I’m not serious, but I don’t want to wait for April 1 to post this art.

I ran into the always-fun Rick Parker at Heroes Con 2025 in June and after we spoke for a bit, he showed me this piece and said he wanted it to go to a big Hulk fan. How could I not pick it up with such a description? This was created by Rick with no other reason than Rick wanted to draw it. This is hardly surprising, considering all the great Beavis and Butthead pieces that have come from Rick’s creative mind over the years, including this piece that Rick did for me last year.

I walked around the con and had the epiphany to ask Rick to use his exquisite lettering skills on the piece in the way of creating a “What if” theme to the piece. Rick loved the idea and exclaimed that we had just collaborated on the piece – I guess this was how it worked back in the Marvel Method days. I also had Rick sign my Hulk 227 comic that he did some lettering on (my favorite issue, read here
for more if interested) and he added a great “Hulk Smash” to my art bag – see additional pictures.

Already looking forward to my next Rick Parker encounter – he’s the best!

Rick seems like a fun guy! You should probably add yourself into the Writer credit for this piece since it's a collab :) - you may have been joking but the idea of a Hulk What If series of pieces with alternate takes/versions of the character actually sounds pretty cool!

This has Hasselhoff Fury vibes! A perfect mask to use for Halloween in the What The..?!?!! manner.
