Description

30"x40" (framed 32"x42") Painted in 2010; acquired 2025. Absolutely thrilled to add one of Aaron's pieces to my collection. Aaron told me of her, "the painting was part of large series of paintings I did with halos. The idea was to repurpose the iconography of Catholic saints, assigning power to things that I can relate to in the real world instead of traditional religious imagery... the power and foreboding and aggression and beauty in the female form has always seemed worthy of worship." How perfect is that?!?!
