Description

This was a 2024 commission that I completed recently for Ryan K, of Lindsay, ON.. When Ryan was very young, he and his 2 brothers created an entire comic-book Universe of Heroes & Villains. I used a few of these early sketches as the starting point for this drawing! "Giant" has mutant abilities that allow him to turn his hands into any weapon that isn't a gun. He is huge, extremely strong, and has serious street-fighting skills!
I added the police car, street lamp, and the seagulls, to give him a sense of scale..

Really great, Rich. I see a little Starlin in this. Is he an influence of yours?

Thanks a lot, Bob! No, I'm not that familiar with Starlin. It doesn't show that well, but I looked at a lot of Nowlan. The light standard with the hydro box and wires was definitely inspired by Nowlan.
